I am now in Midland, TX, and I’ll be heading over to Fort Worth in a couple hours. I was in Phoenix for about a week and while I was there Lexi and I spent a lot of time in the sun and water. When we weren’t hiking or swimming in a lake or tubing down a river, we were in the pool in her backyard. On Friday, Lexi showed me around downtown and we went to their artwalk.
On Sunday, it was time for me to head out to my next destination: El Paso, TX. On the way, I made a stop at Saguaro National Park, and I passed through a lot of beautiful territory.
And an interesting thing about El Paso is that it is quite literally a stones throw away from Juarez. At one point on I-10, Mexico was on my right and the US was on my left. On the way out of El Paso yesterday morning, I made a stop on a scenic road overlooking El Paso with Juarez right behind. They are so close that it is hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. I do know that the big “X” in the distance is in Mexico. And you can even see the border right beside it.
